It seems the vast majority of Americans who are working, hate their jobs, and are just selling their lives for money. It's no wonder that all kinds of drugs from alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco, to cocaine, heroin, OTC pain killers and medical drugs are so popular today, and that addictions of all kinds seem to be the norm in our societies. Drugs could be accurately defined as anything you use to become unaware of what is bothering you. Consider honestly what drugs you are you addicted to, and you will understand what I'm talking about.
The job and career prospects waiting for today's kids seem to be mostly working for companies that require you to forget about ethics and morality, and just focus on the money you will make and the comfortable life you will have, being able to pay your bills, afford the things that are supposed to make you happy, and try to forget about getting up tomorrow morning and going to work at a job you do only for the money.
Yet self-improvement teachers tell us we should consider what we love to do, and make that into our vocation as well, the way we pay the bills and build a comfortable and secure life. But is that even possible for more than a few rare individuals? How can it really be done?
