A few weeks ago, I watched Registered Nurse Josiah Dan (www.facebook.com/josiah.d.anderson) give a great speech to an outdoor gathering of citizens at a freedom rally in Connecticut. Risking his livelihood and personal safety, Joshiah was willing to tell the truth, that no declaration of "emergency" by our rulers can take away our God-given rights. If that were possible, our rights would be a meaningless joke. The truth is that, as stated in the Declaration of Independence, it is the people that give governments conditional permission to exist, as long as they do an adequate job to protect our rights and individual freedoms. As soon as governments fail in that job, then it is the duty of the people to abolish and replace those governments with others that will honor and accomplish their responsibilities.
In America today, government has totally failed in many of its duties, including the most important one, which is to protect our freedoms. Now in the present crisis, it is using the excuse of a "pandemic" emergency to enslave us further, imprisoning citizens in their homes under house arrest when no crime has been committed. Governments have ordered private businesses shut down, again without the commission of a crime. In other words, government has decided to destroy millions of lives and businesses that support communities. This is illegal, it is a direct attack by government on the people, a coordinated act of war.
In America, most of us have been "educated" to forget the founding principles of individual freedom. So we hear even those claiming to speak for freedom saying that the pandemic numbers do not justify government orders to lock down society. This is a complete misunderstanding. Even if the numbers were 50% death rate or 100% death rate, as free people we decide for ourselves how to live and die, not our lords in government. They can make suggestions to hide at home, but they can't order us to do it. Josiah Dan's spirit needs to spread to the rest of the health care industry, the positions of power in government, and the rest of the citizens who have forgotten that the rulers hold office only with their permission.
